We recommend the following: For a buffet event: a minimum of 8 square feet per person For a seated event: a minimum of 15 square feet per person These sizes do not include catering tables, dance floors, DJ area etc, so remember to allocate space for all the facilities you are considering.

We normally erect the marquee between one and three days before the event and will dismantle the marquee one to two days after the event.

Will I need carpet in the marquee?

It very much depends upon the weather, the type of event and the condition of the grass. Most wedding Marquees require carpeting, but less formal events can work perfectly well without.

Can the marquees be opened up in warm weather?

Yes. The walls of our marquees are easily opened up and secured. This can be demonstrated in order that you can decide whether to put them up or down on the day of the function.

Are marquees suitable all year round?

Marquees can make ideal venues for Christmas and New Year parties as well as summer functions. Powerful heaters (see question on heating) can keep you warm in winter, and the option of hard flooring protects from wet ground. A marquee can be your perfect choice of party venue whatever time of year!

We always ensure our marquees are sturdy and properly anchored. They are manufactured to withstand winds of up to 60 mph and made in accordance with EC Safety Standards.

Can the marquee be connected to a building?

Yes. Our marquees can be utilised to serve as an extension to a building if required as the structure can easily butt up against the side of a house. Or you can opt for a covered walkway to link to the main marquee. There are usually numerous options in which we can accomodate your needs. Just ask!
